Over the New Year period, we went to The Falls Music and Arts Festival, a camping music festival in Lorne. It was an awesome mix of live music and performances, accompanied by some food and clothing stalls. On our first day, we arrived to a very open field on a hot sunny day to set up our tent and start exploring. The festival started with a night of music from Salt'n'Pepper and various DJs. In the days that followed the weather was not so kind and we had to venture through the rain whenever we wanted to go anywhere. We saw some amazing acts such as George Ezra, Run the Jewels, Vance Joy, Temper Trap and Milky Chance aswell as discovering some new favorites like The Pierce Brothers. Just before the New Year the weather cleared up as Bluejuice crazily played their last ever show (which was amazing and ended with them both in their underwear...as usual). Alt-J then rocked the stage untill 11:50 when Kram from Spider Bait hopped on to entertain and count down into the New Year! The first act for 2015 was The Presets who played some favorites as a massive crowd danced throughout the large field, followed by the likes of Todd Terje and Benson ending at 3:00 am. The final day consisted only of hangovers, free breath tests and long toilet queues, before everyone packed their tents and bags and began their journeys home. However it was not so simple for us as our car and the car next to us would not start. With the help of our lovely neighbours from South Australia and some heavy duty jumper leads we were soon on our way back to Melbourne, concluding our first camping festival. We both had an amazing time together listening to music and experiencing the festival as a whole, weather and all and look forward to hopefully venture out again to Falls next year! Here is a small clip we made of footage from our awesome trip, check it out and let us know what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLblqaRL5As
